Refund Policy

At Yoga Class US, we strive to provide exceptional yoga instruction and a welcoming community environment. We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your purchase or membership. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and credits for our various services.

1. Class Packages

1.1 Single Class Purchases

Single class credits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another class if you cancel at least 2 hours before the scheduled class time. No refund or class credit will be issued for no-shows or cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled class.

1.2 Multi-Class Packages (5, 10, or 20 classes)

• Within 7 days of purchase: If you have not attended any classes, we offer a full refund minus a $15 administrative fee.
• After 7 days or if classes have been attended: Packages are non-refundable, but the remaining class credits may be:
  • Extended due to medical reasons (with documentation)
  • Transferred to another person for a $25 transfer fee
  • Converted to a studio credit (minus a 15% processing fee)

1.3 Expiration of Class Packages

Class packages expire after their designated validity period (30, 90, or 180 days, depending on the package purchased). Expired classes will not be refunded or extended except in cases of:

• Documented medical conditions preventing practice
• Extended travel (with advance notice)

Extension requests must be submitted before the expiration date and are granted at the discretion of management.

2. Memberships

2.1 Monthly Memberships

• Cancellation: Monthly memberships may be canceled with at least 14 days' written notice before your next billing date. No partial refunds are provided for the current billing period.
• Within 7 days of initial purchase: If you are unsatisfied with your membership, you may request a refund within the first 7 days, which will be prorated based on any classes attended.

2.2 Annual Memberships

• Within 14 days of purchase: Full refund minus a $50 administrative fee if no classes have been attended; otherwise, the refund will be prorated based on the number of days since purchase and classes attended.
• After 14 days: Annual memberships are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances (relocation beyond 25 miles, medical conditions), we may offer:
  • A prorated refund (with proper documentation)
  • Transfer to another person for a $50 fee
  • Conversion to class credits or studio credit

2.3 Membership Freezing

Members may freeze their membership for 1-3 months per year for the following reasons:

• Medical reasons (with documentation)
• Pregnancy
• Extended travel
• Temporary relocation

A freeze fee of $15 per month applies. Freeze requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the billing date to take effect for the upcoming month.

3. Workshops and Special Events

3.1 Cancellation by Customer

3.2 Cancellation by Yoga Class US

If we cancel a workshop or special event, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a similar future event. In cases of instructor illness, we will attempt to find a suitable replacement before canceling.

3.3 Transfer to Another Person

Workshop registrations may be transferred to another person with at least 48 hours' notice for a $10 administrative fee.

4. Private Sessions

4.1 Cancellation Policy

• More than 24 hours' notice: Full refund or reschedule with no penalty
• Less than 24 hours but more than 4 hours' notice: 50% charge or one-time reschedule with a $25 fee
• Less than 4 hours' notice or no-show: Full charge, no refund or reschedule

4.2 Private Session Packages

Unused private sessions in a package may be refunded with a 20% administrative fee if requested within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, unused sessions may be converted to studio credit or transferred to another person for a $25 fee per session.

4.3 Expiration of Private Sessions

Private session packages expire 6 months after the purchase date. Expired sessions will not be refunded but may be extended for 3 months for a fee of $25 per session.

5. Merchandise

5.1 Return Policy

• Unworn/Unused Items: May be returned within 14 days of purchase with original receipt for a full refund or exchange
• Defective Items: May be returned within 30 days for replacement or refund
• Sale Items: Final sale, no returns or exchanges unless defective

5.2 Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned due to hygiene considerations:

• Yoga mats (once used)
• Water bottles (once opened)
• Personal hygiene products
• Underwear and intimate apparel

6. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Gift cards do not expire and can be used for any services or merchandise offered by Yoga Class US.

7. New Student Specials

New student introductory offers and trial packages are non-refundable and cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. These offers are limited to first-time customers of Yoga Class US only.

8. Method of Refund

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:

• Credit Card Payments: Refunded to the same credit card
• Cash Payments: Refunded by check or studio credit (customer's choice)
• Gift Card Purchases: Refunded as studio credit

Please note that credit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

9. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In cases of:

• Serious illness or injury (with medical documentation)
• Family emergency
• Natural disaster or severe weather conditions
• Unexpected relocation due to employment

We may, at our discretion, offer refunds, credits, or extensions outside of our standard policy. These exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis and require appropriate documentation.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
